Home Bites connects people who love good food with the talented home bakers in their own neighbourhood. From everyday rice & curry, lunch packs and snacks to cupcakes, cakes and celebration orders, every order supports a real home kitchen — not a factory.
We started Home Bites because home bakers in Sri Lanka make some of the best food anywhere, but had no simple, trustworthy way to sell it. Buyers, meanwhile, wanted homemade food they could order with confidence. Home Bites is the bridge: discovery, ordering, secure payments, and handover confirmation, all in one app.
What makes us different
- Custom request marketplace — describe what you need (e.g. a birthday cake or a party lunch for Saturday) and let bakers send you their best offers.
- Payments held safely — your money is held safely and only released to the baker after handover is confirmed.
- Code-confirmed handover — a one-time code proves the order arrived, protecting buyers and sellers alike.
- Verified home bakers — sellers are reviewed and badged so you know who is making your food.
How we make money
Home Bites is free to download and free to browse. We earn a small marketplace commission on completed orders, which keeps the platform running, the payments secured, and support available.
